Sao Paulo, Brazil (April 3, 2013) – A total of 18 current PGA TOUR Latinoamérica members will be starting on the Web.com Tour’s Brasil Classic presented by HSBC. The US $675,000 tournament features a field of 144 players from 17 countries and is all set to begin tomorrow at the Sao Paulo Golf Club.
In addition to “Los Cinco” – the players who finished the 2012 season on the Order of Merit’s top 5 spots – the list of PGA TOUR Latinoamérica members on this field includes 2013 event winners Ted Purdy (55th Abierto Mexicano de Golf) and Manuel Villegas (TransAmerican Power Products CRV Open).
Purdy, Villegas and Jorge Fernández-Valdés make it three out of the five players currently ranked as “Los Cinco” on the 2013 PGA TOUR Latinoamérica Order of Merit who have made it to Sao Paulo.
